The Lottie Bonnet -- I made this bonnet for my first little girl when she was a baby. I remember getting loads of compliments on it. It's a simple bonnet, but the pintucks and little details (bias ties and self piping) make it stand out. Pintucks are sewn across the crown, while gathers tuck in the back. Self-made piping covers the brim. Fully lined. You will enjoy seeing it on your sweet little girl as well as making it.  Don't want the tucks?  Just cut two of the lining piece for the main and the lining and you'll be good to go!

Suggested woven fabrics - cotton, seersucker, chambray, lightweight linen, lightweight flannel, double gauze, or rayon.

Sizes newborn to 3 yrs

Sewing level: Confident beginner with the knowledge to slipstitch

In pictures 5-8, sewist used fewer tucks than in the pattern for a different look.

In picture 13, I used the lining piece only for the lace and Hong Kong seams.

Thank you, a_wilderness_experience for sharing your gorgeous images in pictures 5-8!
