I wanted to make something that would give my girls a comfortable slip-on sweater and be stylish as all get out! For the days where they enjoy staying indoors, it’s the perfect lounge sweater. For school days and shopping trips, it keeps them warm and in vogue.
The Riviera cardigan comes in two stylish lengths - Regular (falls around the hips) and Long (above knee). There are also two sleeve lengths to choose from, 3/4 and long-sleeved. Then for even more ways to customize the Riviera, I've included some fun options - waistline tie, collar flounce, pockets, and some cute side slits (for the long length) so you can truly make it your own! The Riviera is designed with no closures, making it not only easy to wear, but also a breeze to sew!
Sizes 2T, 3T, 4T, 5, 6, 6X, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 are all included in this pattern.
Suggested knit is a 4-way stretch, 95% cotton/5% lycra with at least 20% stretch (over 4 inches) and with a good recovery.
Suggested KNIT fabrics - Ponte knit (Roma), double knit, Liverpool knit, double brushed poly, French terry knit, stretch velvet, ITY (interlock twist yarn) knit, to name a few.
This pattern is gender neutral and works for boys too from 2T-6 years. In these sizes, they grow the same. After 6 yrs, they have different growth spurts and don’t follow the same measurements.

This is a PDF sewing pattern, not an actual garment. Upon purchase, you will be able to immediately download it. Make sure you have a PDF reader (like Adobe Reader) on your home computer as you will need this to open your file. If you don't have Adobe Reader already, you can go here to download it free... http://get.adobe.com/reader/
A Riviera A0 file is now included in the download! What is an A0 file? It's the pattern pieces that are printed at full scale at a print shop and on a large sheet of paper. Kinda like tissue patterns! No printing or taping at home required! :)
